Principal’s Update

Thank you so much to all the parents and especially our students for their resilience and perseverance in putting up with the weather conditions during these lessons. We had some very positive feedback on our students attitude and behaviour during the lessons.

“I would like to extend my thanks to the students who courageously participated despite having to deal with our very unkind weather throughout the series….they stuck it out and made the most of it”.   Anne Fisher (Rockingham In-term Centre Supervisor).

After being promised to have our new shed and air-conditioned covered assembly area completed over the holidays (and being disappointed that this didn’t happen) I can now say works have commenced this week on our large shed.  The covered assembly area will be completed on Monday and Tuesday next week.

School Board Meeting
Our School Board met last night reviewed and approved a number of items. Our stationery supplier, Ziggies, will be our preferred supplier for the next two years. Fotoworks will be our preferred supplier for school photos over the next two years also. The Board also approved a small increase in the school contributions amount.

Congratulations to Megan Thompson for her achievement of Level 3 Classroom Teacher status. The primary role of the Level 3 Classroom Teacher is of instructional nature, modelling high standards of teaching in the classroom and continually improving professional teaching practice. We are very proud of Miss Thompson for successfully completing  this complex and challenging process and we look forward to the added benefits to our school. Well done!
