Our school aims to provide opportunities for children to develop their intellectual, physical, social, cultural and emotional skills. Students are also exposed to the latest pedagogy, assessment strategies and educational research with a clear focus on the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum.

Pastoral Care is a key focus throughout the school linking our student services team to enhance our strong commitment to building and supporting a safe learning environment for all of our students.

We aspire for all students to:

  • Strive for excellence
  • Be creative and critical thinkers
  • Be lifelong learners

A feature of Rivergums Primary School is the dedicated staff with a shared commitment to the School Vision and Values. The teachers and support staff have a wide range of experience with some at the beginning of their careers and others with a vast range of experiences.

Community partnerships form an integral component of our school. Programs are currently operating within the school and include Choir, Robotics, daily Breakfast Club from 7:50am and a before and after school care facility.

The P & C provides strong support to the school and organises a variety of activities that bring our school community together. Over recent years the P & C have been extremely active in providing equipment and facilities that have enhanced our school and learning opportunities for our students.
